Val Kilmer's Birthday.

A heartfelt thank you to all who made the good parts of 2007 so good.

Best wishes and hopes for all of our fates in 2008.

Maybe I'll post a year-end-recap here soon. Maybe a looking-ahead piece. Maybe neither, and we'll just move on and let the future unfold. I'm committing to nothing. Suffice it to say that there were some bigger bumps in an already bumpy road this year, so we've traded in our Nissans for a steamroller, in hopes of leveling the playing field in the coming 12. Get your iPods ready.

But if you'd like to join me in celebrating the arrival of a fresh start, I should be at Local 121 in Providence this evening, listening to Dox spin unbearably hip tunes and sipping something scandalous.

Details can be found on the PDP site.

And of course, remember the real reason we'll all be celebrating tonight: A happy 48th birthday to Val Kilmer, without whom, it can be argued, none of us would be here. Cheers, Iceman.
